Established in 2004 under the framework of the EU-China Film Festival, the EU-China Youth Film Festival is the exclusive international youth film festival jointly supported by China and Europe. Headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, the organizing committee serves as a non-profit organization (NPO), holding recognition from the Belgian authorities and endorsed by the Embassy of China in Belgium.
Dedicated to nurturing talent, the festival invites young filmmakers from China, Europe, and beyond to submit their thought-provoking films showcasing their intentional experiment with cinema. Through a dynamic program of competitive screenings, networking opportunities, and awards, it provides a cross-media platform for the next generation of storytellers to convey their artistic expression. With years of steady growth, the film festival has become a crucial incubator for cinematic ideas, emphasizing the interplay between creative innovation and industry development.
