About The Director
Chakme is a Chinese director and screenwriter whose work reflects a deep engagement with philosophy and human experience. He began his creative journey after being profoundly moved by cinema in his youth, later developing a distinctive style marked by originality and a poetic sensibility.

His debut feature Ata won several awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the 29th Fribourg International Film Festival. In Ādarśa, he collaborated with leading contemporary Chinese artists, blending visual art and film into a unique exploration of trust, authenticity, and the meaning of life and death. His later film Georgia continued this path of reflection, capturing the complexity of family, identity, and cultural encounter.
